Yesterday, I came back from my first day ever of snowboarding and I LOVED it!!! It was at Cypress Mountain which is about 30-45min away from Vancouver. There were 18cm (7in) of new snow and this Saturday there is an expected 60cm (2ft !!) of new snow. Here's a shot of my aptmate and me at the mountain:

And this one is of him making fun of my SKILLS! The instructor taught us to stick out our arms to direct the snowboard path.

yay! snowboarding is FUN! i remember instructors teaching us to do the arm thing too! :) the snow looks AMAZING! i wish i was that close to snow... uh, then again, maybe not that close. hehe...

wooow!!! you loved snowboarding the first time you tried it? most don't love it till the 2nd or 3rd time at the earliest. The part that really leaves your SD friends with jaw hanging down is the distance from your door to the mountain (and mountains .. since there are other options nearby too). enjoy! =) I'm glad you managed to sneak away from studies a bit to play.
